Print a Report:

To print a report at any time click on the "Print a Report" button on the Action Menu. Choose either a report by standard or choose the summary reports for grades 1, 4, 8, or 11. Usually a teacher will choose" Report by Standard."

Once the "Report by Standard" button is clicked a search window appears prompting the user to select a grade and/or standard.

In some cases you will need to choose which assessment matches your personal assessment of a student. It is agreed if not recommended for each standard several assessment tools should be used with each student. To make your report valid, you will need to verify one assessment over any others. To do this select "Verify Student Assessment" from the action menu. Then choose the standard number that you want to verify for each of your students.

In this example 4.1.1 was selected.

I have two assessment tools used to assess my students for this standard.

(Assessments should not be averaged. Instead I must choose one over the other to identify the appropriate assessment.)

When you click on the appropriate report button, you will see a new screen with the assessments.

Look above to see theprocess.

First see where more than one assessment tool has been used to assess a certain standard. Not only that, the type of assessments were two different ones. Notice that circled in red. This will be important when you are asked to identify the type of assessments when reporting to the state.

Now deselect the assessment for each student that has more than one by deselecting the box circled in the example in blue at the far left of each record that you don't want in the report.
This procedure will be necessary for any standard number where you use more than one assessment tool. Once you've completed the above operation you're ready to print out some reports.

The reports from your class will be for your personal information.

The reports for the state will have to be generated by the office when all data has been submitted to them. But this tool can be used to give you, the teacher, information that is pertinent to your teaching and your students learning.

Later you will see how to generate a report on a specific person. Another button on the Action Menu gives you that opportunity.
