When you open the database
you will be expected to type in the password. As a
teacher, your password is "pet". This will give you
the access to the necessary information to assess
your students.

- Open the database. First
you'll put in the password.
- Second you will see the
splash screen for five seconds and
- then the identification
screen.
If you have the correct database
the screen will ask you if you're a certain
teacher. An answer "yes" continues the process, an
answer "no" quits the program. Click on "yes" if
you are the teacher that is identified here to
continue. If you are not, click on "No" and check
with the office.

This navagational box will be on the first page
of each database.

Set up the Student Class
Names
Click on the S in the blue box. 
which will take you to the Static Student data
with your students already inputted. Click on the
button "Identify Class Names."

Step 1
|
Find Grade - - Click on the
button and you'll see another screen
asking you to put the grade
(number) that you are going to
assign a class name to. The Find feature
pauses until you insert a grade number and
click on continue at the left side
of the screen. then it brings you back to
the previous layout with all the records
for that particular class.

Step 2
|
Find Selected - - Before you
click on the next button "Find Selected",
you must first select those that
share a class. On the left side of each
record you see a box. If you click on the
box that will tell you that the record is
selected. Go through the grade and select
those that are in the class that shares
the same name. For example, if there are
two first grades, first find all 1st
graders and then select those that are in
one of the 1st grades by clicking on each
of the boxes clear to the left that
selects the record. After all students in
that class are selected, then click on
"Find Selected".

Step 3
|
Add Class Name to Group - - Go
to the first record and click on the open
field, type in the class name. With the
curser in the Class Name field, click on
the "Add to Group" button. (The name
should then appear in each of the records
where before there was nothing.)

Step 4
|
Deselect all - - To finish the
process click on the "Deselect all"
button.

Step 5
|
Repeat this process until
ALL students have been identified
with a class name. Then click on return to
Data Entry.
