The opening screen gives you the fields that are ready for your data. One way to input data is on a record by record basis. This is required for those who are not using a student management system already or using one that doesn't allow exporting of data.

Record by Record method:

This will probably be the way that new students are added to this database.

This screen defaults to the entry information. You will need to fill in these fields:

  • First
  • Middle
  • Last
  • Grade Number
  • Birth date
  • District (only needs to be filled in one record)

Account, Year of Graduation, and Full Name will automatically be calculated.

Create a new user ID (according to need)

If, next to the User defined account label, a red "x" appears, that means that the account ID has already been assigned. It will be necessary for the person doing the inputting to assign an alternate account ID in the field next to the "x."

Census Tab

To input the census data that you've already collected for the state, click on the Census tab. The screen will change with new options. Simply click on the box next to those identifiers which apply. A summary page has been created to print out the combined census information.
