This tool was built with the idea that School districts will want to keep control of their own data. They will,in that way be responsible for:

• backups of their data
• collection of their data
• reporting of their data

But besides the responsibility, this database housed at each school will enable the school to:

• aggregate the data into reports used to fill out the State required web page reporting system.
• disagregate the data into meaningful reports allowing for a focused educational effort to bring students to their full potential from the perspective of each standard.

The School -- because you collect all the data in the appropriate place and have a way to report that to the state and make use of the reporting to direct your educational efforts.

The Students -- because the collected data enables the teacher to redirect their efforts to areas of need depending on the standard.

This tool is used to collect the assessment data . It allows the users to scrutinize the data to assist in making informed decisions on focusing educational actions.

It is not a tool just to fill out the state form. It will assist in that, but can be used to do a whole lot more.

This tool is first prepared by the office inputing all student data. They then prepare teacher portions that will allow for collecting assessments. Then the Office will receive their individual data and combine it to prepare the report for the state.

This tool has been designed with the teacher and office personnel in mind. The use of scripting and mouse clicks makes it's use simple and yet very powerful. It is NOT designed as a web solution.

There is no cost to the school district that would choose to use the Assessment Profiles Solution. It has been developed with a "no charge" in mind. Because we used the FileMaker Pro Development tool, we were able to create this and distribute this with a run-time version of Filemaker Pro that requires no purchase of the software and no purchase of a license. Simply download and use it and there is no hidden cost.
